Department Make Police Reports Available Online
June 28, 2006
For Immediate Release

Beginning July 14 the Cramerton Police Department will offer an additional avenue of obtaining police reports.  The department has partnered with PoliceReports.US LLC, a Mooresville, NC based company who provides police reports through the Internet.  “The department views this as another service it can offer to the citizens at no additional costs to taxpayers” said Police Chief Greg Ratchford.

The police department will electronically transmit incident reports and accident reports to PoliceReports.US LLC, who will make the reports accessible to the public.  Persons interested in obtaining a copy of the report will purchase the report from PoliceReports.US through the Internet site.  Costs of the reports will remain $2.00, the same amount that would be paid at Cramerton Town Hall for a copy of the same report.

The link to obtain the reports can be accessed by visiting the Cramerton Police website at www.cramertonpd.org.  Reports will still be available at Cramerton Town Hall for persons without Internet access or for those who had rather use conventional methods to obtain the information.  Other public information reports, not accessible online, will continue to be available through the Cramerton Town Hall as well.
