Cramerton Police Arrest Resident for Robbery, Kidnapping

Cramerton Police filed charges against and arrested J.C. Paul Goodson, 131 Eighth Avenue, Cramerton on March 22, 2006 for allegedly kidnapping, robbing and assaulting Clifford Joseph Young, of Mt. Gilead, with a knife. Official police reports indicate that the crimes occurred at Goodson’s residence in Cramerton and that the police were alerted when Young screamed for help from a Lowell Police Officer at the BB&T Bank in Lowell where Goodson had forced Young to drive to withdraw money from an ATM.
Goodson was charged with Felonious Restraint, Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Communicating Threats. Goodson was held at the Gaston County Jail on a $20,000 secured bond. Young refused medical care at the scene according to official police reports. |
