Police Investigate Construction Fire

       Cramerton Police are actively investigating a suspicious fire that burned a home under construction at 3340 Hawthorne Lane. Firefighters and EMS personnel responded to the location during the early hours of Tuesday morning after an on-duty Cramerton police officer observed smoke in the sky and responded to the location.  Upon arrival, responders found an active fire in the interior of the structure. Firefighters quickly began to combat the blaze but the structure sustained major damage.

The residence is currently owned by Jeremy and Geneva Hunt of Denver, NC. The home was nearing ninety percent complete and has an approximate value of $425,000.
